Signal Classification: Engineering hiring burst (contributor growth >50%), Infrastructure buildout (3+ new repos in 30 days), Deploy frequency spike (commit velocity +150%+), Framework migration (general acceleration).
Stage Estimation: Pre-seed (1-7 contributors), Seed (8-19), Series A/B (20-49), Growth (50+).
